On moonless nights, the children would sneak out of their beds and scurry through the dark, towards the tiny smudge of light that told them the storyteller had arrived.They would sit, huddled around him, transfixed by the smoky bubbles he blew from his glowing hookah, entranced by the magical stories of his voyages across the sea.
